Arsenal are doing well for themselves at the moment but their party are likely to be thwarted by Brentford who have proven several times that they can be a tough nut to crack at home. Both teams looked refreshed heading into this clash as they have had enough time to rest due to their previous games that were postponed because of Queen Elizabeth’s death.
I think both teams are likely to produce goals. Other teams I am picked for my analysis are Villareal, Celtic and Fernabahce.
Arsenal, Celtic and Villareal Match Previews
1. Brentford vs Arsenal
After last weekend’s games were rescheduled, Brentford was unable to build on their 5-2 victory over Leeds. Arsenal, on the other hand, struggled to recover from their 3-1 loss to Manchester United as both of their most recent games were postponed.
During the kick-off of the previous season, Brentford shocked Arsenal as they just came from the Championship division and were underestimated, but the Gunners have improved significantly since then. They appear to be a lot better team now, and they still looked good in their most recent game against Manchester United despite the loss.
Today, fans can anticipate a fantastic match from both teams as they have been scoring goals recently and winning their matches. I am not confident enough that Arsenal will win but even if they do, goals can be on the card. So I will be going for a mixed chance of either both teams scoring or over 2.5 goals be produce.
Just a quick reminder, the mixed chance is not the same as a combined bet.
2. St. Mirren vs Celtic
St Mirren might move up to third in the Scottish Premiership if results turn in their favor today. But they face a Celtic team that has a perfect record in the league so far this year. St. Mirren was in excellent shape before their journey to Perth in Australia and their absence from competition last week makes them look fresher.
For them, keeping three straight clean sheets and persevering to win is fantastic, but doing it early in the year offers them the best chance to have a fruitful year. Although they lost to St Johnstone and face a tough challenge here, there have been several encouraging signs for them so far.
Celtic will be frustrated that they were unable to capitalize on their superiority in the midweek match against Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday in the Polish capital of Warsaw. However, there were many things to take away from the performance, which they’ll seek to apply to their domestic fixtures in addition to their efforts to earn points in their Champions League group.
In their most recent league encounter, Saints held Celtic to a scoreless draw in Paisley. The hosts may not be able to handle the visitors here, despite their strong start to the season.
3. Villarreal vs Sevilla
Villarreal was defeated 1-0 by Real Betis, ending their unbeaten start to the season. Although the game was closely contested, Villarreal’s front line was unable to get past the Betis goalkeeper. This was their first league goal surrendered so far this season.
Sevilla defeated Espanyol 3-2 in a tense match to earn their first victory of the La Liga campaign. In addition to helping Erik Lamela score the opening goal, Jose Angel Carmona scored his first two goals in the professional ranks. Later on in the contest, Lamela was dismissed for receiving two cautions.
Jules Kounde scored Sevilla’s equalizer in the 95th minute of the match between the two teams the last time they met in May after Giovanni Lo Celso had given Villarreal the lead in the 86th minute. Villarreal will hope for the revenge of that shock here and won’t allow such to happen again.
