The much-awaited Champions League quarter-final matches are here and the eight teams remaining are waiting for their quarter-final battle. The match that caught my attention was that of Manchester City vs Athletico Madrid at Etihad stadium. 1. Manchester City vs Atletico Madrid
Manchester City have remained unbeaten in their last 7 matches. They got their much-needed win against Burnley to stay on top of the Premier league table with just one point above 2nd placed Liverpool. That aside, head coach Pep Guardiola will be looking forward to winning treble silverware this season.
Atletico Madrid are on a 5-match winning streak. Last week, they thrashed Alaves 4-1, which is a morale booster heading into this match. Another motivation is that they beat a Manchester United side at Old Trafford, eliminating them from this competition. So, with that in mind, they will hope to cause an upset against an in-form Manchester City.
Nevertheless, this is the first meeting between Manchester City and Athletico Madrid. However, both teams are doing very well in their various leagues, but I think Manchester City should come out on top with a close win against Athletico Madrid.

2. Benfica vs Liverpool
Benfica shocked the football punters by beating Ajax, thereby sending them packing from this competition on a 3-2 aggregate. Again, Benfica is now unbeaten in the last 5 matches they have played at home. But that notwithstanding, they have won only 3 out of those 5 matches and the worst still is that they lost 3-2 to Sporting Braga last week.
Liverpool on the other hand are on a 4-match winning streak and have only lost once since the beginning of this year, 2022. The last time these two teams met was in 2010.
Since Benfica’s recent form is becoming questionable and Liverpool are very hot at the moment, I am tipping the Reds to have a comfortable win against Benfica in Portugal.
The best bet is Liverpool to win @1.45 while my value bet is a combination of Liverpool winning and over 2.5 goals @1.95.
3. Milton Keynes Dons vs Crewe
Milton Keynes Dons are very hot at the moment as they have won 7 of their previous 8 matches in League 1. They are also battling for promotion into the England Championship and can’t afford to throw away a point here.
Crewe, on the other hand, are on a 6-match losing streak and have become a 3-point generation for other teams that come across them. They have lost all their last 6 matches and conceded a lot of goals. The worst is that they have lost 13 of their previous 14 league matches and are heading for relegation.
Having become unbeaten in 13 League 1 matches and are potential teams for automatic promotion into the Championship, I am tipping the Dons to win again tonight.
The safest bet is Milton Keynes Dons to win at 1.35. Best bet: is Milton Keynes Dons to win and over 1.5 goals to come on board at 1.53. A value bet is a -1 Handicap win for Milton Keynes Dons at 1.90
4. Wrexham vs Barnet
Wrexham are heading for a semi-final promotional play-off in England’s National League. They are just one point above Solihull Moors who are at the quarter-final playoff position. If they lose this match, they may be replaced by Solihull Moors and they will find themselves going to the quarter-final instead of the semi-final. Therefore, they are in a must-win situation.
Barnet have nothing at stake in this match unless they want to witch hunt Wrexham. They have been inconsistent and have managed to win only 2 of their last 6 away matches.
Wrexham desperately needs this win to achieve their promotional ambition and I am backing them to win @1.35. My value bet is over 2.5 goals @1.60
