Greenpredict’s Best Selections (from the Competitions in the table)

1. Bodo/Glimt vs Zalgiris (Time: 18:00 CAT)

Bodo will try to offer supporters more reason to celebrate as they welcome Zalgiris (all the way from Lithuania) to the Aspmyra Stadion after thrashing Linfield 8-0 in the returning leg of the Champions League second qualification round. With this kind of result, they will be in high spirit to humiliate Zalgiris in front of their fans. The Norwegian leaders have recently put up excellent performances in all competitions, and because of this result, the bookmakers have them as heavy favorites to win the match on Wednesday.

The Nigerian striker Victor Boniface, who has just found his attacking prowess, will be the player to watch for the home squad, while the injured players such as Sery Larsen, and Konradsenare are expected to miss out.
On the other end, Zalgiris did well to surprise Malmo in round 2 of this competition, and are now aiming to eliminate another significant opponent in this Champions League qualifying competition. In any case, an easy victory for the home team should be considered because Bodo has recently begun to upgrade.

Greenpredict thinks that Bodo/Glimt should win with over 2.5 goals coming on board tonight.

2. Crvena zvezda vs Pyunik Yerevan (Time: 20:45 CAT)

In the opening match of the Champions League third qualification round against Pyunik Yerevan, decent performing Crvena Zvezda will try to build on a spectacular 6-0 victory over Radnik Surdulica. Although Dejan Stankovic’s club has already made significant progress toward winning the Serbian Superliga, qualifying from the group stages of the Champions League is the team’s top priority.

Aleksandar Pesic, who was signed in July, and Aleksandar Katai, a veteran Los Angeles Galaxy playmaker, are both most likely to prove difficult for the defenses of their opponents. Ohi Omoijuanfo, a Norway striker, is set to start on the bench.

On the opponent side, Pyunik qualified for a match with Crvena Zvezda by defeating Dudelange in the two-leg match. The Armenian team performed admirably in their 4-1 victory over Carlos Fangueiro’s team, but they will face far more difficult challenges when they play at Stadion Rajko Mitic, where Zvezda supporters will be in force.

With this in mind, Greenpredict forecast that Crvena Zvezda should win with at least a -1 handicap.

3. Maccabi Haifa vs Apollon (Time: 19:00 CAT)

Maccabi Haifa will try to give supporters another reason to rejoice as they welcome Apollon to their Sammy Ofer Stadium on Wednesday night after thrashing Olympiakos in Piraeus 4-0. The fact that the bookmakers have the Greens as favorites to defeat Apollon at home should not come as a surprise given how well they performed to shock the Thrylos in round 2 of this competition. Haitian international Frantzdy Pierrot, who scored two goals in the victory over Olympiakos, will be a player to watch in the home team.

Contrarily, the Cypriotes had a dismal preseason, losing to teams like Doxa, Torino, and Liberec while splitting the points with Mezokovesd-Zsory. Because of their poor defense, Football pundits think there is a lot of profit in investing in the home team. Moreover, these two teams have not faced each other before in this kind of competition.

However, due to Apollon’s leaky defense, Greenpredict picks Maccabi Haifa to win.
