Champions League Update: There are no easy games – Sergio Aguero predicts Liverpool, Real Madrid clash
Greenpredict Europa League Predictions
1. Barcelona vs Manchester United
Barcelona have not held a clean sheet in any of their six European matches this season despite scoring in sixteen straight games, seven of which saw goals from both opponents.
We anticipate both teams to score in order to win. Manchester United has scored at least twice in six straight games.
Prediction: Both teams to score
2. Ajax vs Union Berlin
In seven of Union Berlin’s last eight games in all competitions, both teams have scored.
Ajax averaged 4.5 goals per game overall in their six Champions League group-stage games.
Recently, they have found their shooting form again, scoring 12 goals in their last three games.
Both teams haven’t lost in any of their games since the World Cup ended, and we believe both of these effective assaults can net goals.
Prediction: Both teams to score
3. Sporting CP vs Midtjylland
Sporting should be too strong for Midtjylland because they have won seven of their past nine home games in all competitions.
We also anticipate goals on both ends because the Danish team has performed well in this competition and has scored in five of their six group-stage games, including both games against Lazio and Feyenoord.
Prediction: Sporting Lisbon to win and Over 2.5
4, Shakhtar Donetsk vs Rennes
Since Shakhtar Donetsk haven’t played in a competitive match since 2022, \they may find it difficult to hold off a Rennes team who went undefeated in the group stage without their key player Mudryk.
However, both teams have scored in three of Rennes’ last four games, thus the Ukrainian team still has a chance to score.
Prediction: Both teams to score
5. Sevilla vs PSV
Since the match began following the World Cup ending, Sevilla has been in excellent domestic form, winning four straight games.
Against a PSV team that has gone winless in their last three away games, the Spanish team will target to make it five straight victories.
However, it will not be an easy match for Sevilla as PSV may cause an upset and they will even be satisfied with a draw in Spain.
Prediction: 1X and Under 4.5
6. Juventus vs Nantes
This matchup should be quite tight, but we believe Nantes will find it difficult to break down Juventu’s defense, and ultimately, the strength of the home team will prevail and get them the much-needed victory. As a result, we’ll pick a home win to nil.
Prediction: Juventus win to nil
7. Bayer Leverkusen vs Monaco
Monaco has scored 16 goals in their past five games, and over 2.5 goals have been a profitable wager in six of their last nine games.
We believe these two teams can combine for at least three goals tonight. Bayer scores 1.9 goals per game on average at home in the Bundesliga.
This is going to be hotly contested and could lead to goals on both ends.
Prediction: Both teams to score and Over 2.5
8. Salzburg vs AS Roma
Both of these clubs have a strong European history, and they appear to be a good match.
They were both runners-up in the UEFA Cup, the competition that preceded the Europa League, in the 1990s.
However, Roma’s recent form has demonstrated that they can persevere and get results when they previously would have given up, allowing the visitors to return to Italy with at least a point before the second leg.
Both teams will play cautiously and this may lead to the production of fewer goals
Prediction: Under 3.5 goals
