From Greenpredict European Qualification Prediction

1, Villarreal vs Hajduk Split

Kick-off; 20:45

Villarreal needs no introduction when it comes to European competitions. Moreover, they have a well-experienced coach in the person of Unai Emre, who has won the European League for four consecutive times. They began this season’s La Liga campaign with a 3-0 win over Real Valladolid. Tonight, they will welcome their opponent, Hajduk Split from Croatia, on that same positive note. Villarreal’s new player, Jose Luis Morales, is expected to make his debut in the midfield, but it is uncertain if he will start ahead of Francis Coquelin, Etienne Capoue, or Dani Parejo.

Hajduk Split seem to have lost form as they have lost their last two matches in all competitions. They were beaten by their fellow Croatian outfit, Estadio Dinamo Zagreb, by a 4-1 scoreline, and today, they will travel to Spain to meet an in-form yellow submarine at Estadio Ciudad de Valencia stadium. Their top striker, Marko Livaja, should lead the attack.

Hajduk Split’s players seem incomparable with those of Villarreal’s. Villarreal have European experience and will have more than enough to beat the Croatian side. My valuable tip is for them to win without conceding any goal

2. West Ham vs Viborg

Kick-off: 20:45

West Ham had a disappointing start to the new English Premier League season. They lost to Manchester City at home and travelled only to lose again to the newly promoted Nottingham Forest. They are yet to score a goal this season. Alphonse Areola, who is their second-choice goalkeeper, may start this match, while Manuel Lanzini will be deployed as a creative midfielder.

Viborg, on the other hand, is doing extremely well. They have won 5 of their last 6 matches in all competitions. However, Viborg are not good travellers as they lost to their fellow Danish sides, FC Nordsjlland and Aarhus. On the contrary, they also beat FK Suduva and B36 Torshavn at the European level, but these are lowly-rated teams. Tonight, they will have a huge mountain to climb when they face West Ham, who are hungry to get their first win. The head coach rested his players during the weekend and so will likely deploy the same players that played against Silkeborg.

Even though West Ham are still searching for their first win, the English side will be way too much for Viborg. David Moyes and his men can’t afford another poor result tonight in front of their massive supporters. Anything other than a comfortable home win will be a surprise to me.

3. Ludogorets vs Zalgiris

Kick-off: 19:45

Ludogorets were knocked out of the Champions League Qualification competition by Dinamo Zagreb. They put up an awful performance and, as a result, they were beaten back to back by Dinamo Zagreb. Consequently, they have found themselves playing in Europa League qualification. Tonight, they will be facing VMFD Zalgiris. The trio of Dominik Yankov, Rick, and Zan Karnicnik were suspended during the course of their Champions League Qualification matches and so will not play tonight.

The visitors, VMFD Zalgiris, will meet Ludogorets all the way from Lithuania to compete for a place in the Europa League. They are doing excellently well in their league as they have comfortably won all their last 6 matches in Lithuania’s A Lyga. With this performance, they will be in high spirits to face Ludogorets. Their defender, Petar Mamic, had an accumulated yellow card and so his service will be missed tonight. Their striker, Renan Oliveira, who has been clinical in front of the goal, is expected to lead the attack as usual.

The last time both teams met was on September 19th, 2017 at Huvepharma Arena, which is the Ludogorets’ home ground. The guests were thrashed by a 4-1 scoreline. However, with the exception of that disappointing loss to Dinamo Zagreb last time out, Ludogorets have been very excellent at home. I see the home team winning again tonight as they can’t afford another heartbreaking disappointment from a team they have thrashed before in their last encounter.

4. Gent vs Omonia Nicosia

Kick-off: 20:30

Gent welcomes their tonight’s opponent, Omonia Nicosia, to the GHELAMCO arena in Belgium. The home team have improved after a disappointing start to the Belgian Jupiler Pro League. They started with two consecutive losses, two consecutive draws, and two consecutive wins in their last six matches. However, they will be motivated to continue their newly found momentum and beat their guest tonight. They will be missing the services of Owusu and Tissoudali, who are sidelined due to injury.

Omonia Nicosia travelled all the way from Cyprus to face Gent for the first time. They have been inconsistent as they have won only 3 matches from their last 6 matches in all competitions. Furthermore, they are on a 3-match winning streak away from home, and they too will be motivated to replicate that performance here at GHELAMCO-arena. Their striker, Didier Ze, who resuscitated his scoring form, may lead the front line.

Both teams are meeting for the first time, but Gent, having improved their performance and having won their last two matches, can make this one their 3rd win in a row in front of their fans. Moreover, the Belgium Pro League is more competitive than the Cyprus League, and besides, Gent have better quality players than Omonia Nicosia.
