Greenpredict is back again with another tips and analysis for the weekend UEFA Nations League games. Various players will use this opportunity to impress their coaches in order to be selected for the world cup competitions.
Also note that that Greenpredict made some consultations with other football punters to arrive in today’s selections.
The Previews of some Selected UEFA Nations League Matches
Armenia vs Ukraine
Armenia plays Ukraine in the fifth round of the Nations League, they will be looking to avenge a devastating 4-1 loss to Scotland. The Armenians want to stay out of League C, but a home victory shouldn’t be taken into account considering their three-game losing streak there. The hosts’ situation is made worse by the fact that defender Arman Hovhannisyan is ineligible to play after receiving a red card against Scotland.
On the other hand, the visitors want to hold onto first place, and I believe that they will benefit from Armenia’s frail defense. Both Nikolay Sharapenko and Georgy Bushchan had to leave the team for the visiting team due to injury. Another reason I am backing the away squad is that earlier in the process, Ukraine defeated Armenia 3-0 in a simple victory.
Spain vs Switzerland
With a chance to guarantee their place in the finals, Spain enters the match as the Group B leader in League A. If they defeat Switzerland and Portugal loses to the Czech Republic on Friday, they might succeed.
In order to stay in the league, Switzerland will need to defeat Spain and collect some points.
Back in June, Spain defeated Switzerland 1-0 in the first leg of this competition
Scotland vs Ireland
With a 3-0 victory over Ukraine, Scotland moved to the top of Group 1, winning three out of their previous four UEFA Nations League games. They’ll be sure that they can score three more points right here.
Ireland is now third in Group 1, but did soundly defeat Scotland in the earlier match. For the first time since 2014, they will encounter the Tartan Army in Scotland.
Scotland will be optimistic that it can take home the entire prize after cruising to victory against Ukraine. This match looks like a low scoring one so I see not more than two goals coming on board.
Cyprus vs Greece
Before traveling to the GSP Stadium this weekend to face the winless Cyprus, Greece will try to clinch first place in their Nations League League C Group 2 division by winning every game.
It’s difficult to imagine how a Greece team that hasn’t allowed a goal could lose this match. They will be guaranteed the number one position in the table if they win this game.
Czech Republic vs Portugal
Czech Republic enters the game after loosing a Nations League encounter against Spain 2-0. Portugal, on the other hand, won consecutively at home against the Czech Republic and Switzerland before losing to the Swiss.
Portugal should win this clash based on their superior talent in each position, according to the stats. If Portugal plays to their potential, they should win this match and preserve a clean sheet with fewer than 2.5 goals scored.
