Jesse Lingard, a former star for Manchester United, blasted the team, claiming they are far behind other teams in the league.
Lingard, who played for Nottingham Forest until leaving the club as a free agent in the summer of 2021, said there had been “zero progress” at the organization.
The England international believes the team is in desperate need of modernization off the field. He is an academy product of the Red Devils and spent more than 20 years at Old Trafford.
Lingard said: “You know what it is, I think they’re so behind with everything,” in an interview with the Diary of a CEO podcast.
“When we travel there with England and train at Tottenham, you see [Manchester] City’s facilities and you see Tottenham’s amenities, like people are miles ahead.
They are so far behind in everything, even the social side of things. They simply lag behind overall. We simply have a lot of things to catch up on. They must make up some ground.

On Sunday, the Gunners will host United for a top-of-the-table matchup.
Arsenal has a similar advantage over third-place United as second-place Manchester City, which is eight points behind Arsenal.
The team of Mikel Arteta will be seeking vengeance for their 3-1 loss in the previous meeting.
Evra also thinks they will need to counteract the attacking combination of Benjamin White and Bukayo Saka.
“The pairing of White and Saka is fantastic.Evra told BetFair, “I used to perform that job and those inside runs are incredibly dangerous.
Saka makes all those runs inside and I hope United’s left back, [Tyrell] Malacia, is aware of it.

Transfer: Ten Hag to sell four Man United stars [See full list].
Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, plans to offload four first-team Red Devils players this summer.
This comes after the club’s management forewarned him that he would need to generate a sizable sum of money through player sales in order to pay for transfers for players like Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund and Harry Kane of Tottenham.
The club does not want to invest any more money after spending $220 million last summer.
The Red Devils have little room to make significant acquisitions since UEFA’s new Financial Sustainability rules, which restrict clubs to spending a specific percentage of their revenue, are slated to begin next season.
Their Dutch coach wants to bring in Bellingham and Kane, both of whom would cost the team about £250 million.
According to The Telegraph, money might be raised by selling actors like Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Fred, and Donny van de Beek.
FIFA has prohibited Aubameyang from playing for any team besides Chelsea and Barcelona.

The ambition of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to leave Chelsea might encounter a significant roadblock.
The Gabon striker, who has been linked to Atletico Madrid, has revealed that he is only permitted to play for Chelsea and Barcelona.
While Thomas Tuchel was still in charge of the team, Aubameyang transferred from Barcelona to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
However, under Graham Potter, Tuchel’s replacement, he has had trouble getting into games.
The epitome of it was when Potter substituted Aubameyang for Manchester City last week in the fourth minute and removed him in the 67th.
The former captain of Arsenal is now planning his exit from the team as a result of it.
However, Fabrizio Romano, a transfer specialist, tweeted on Wednesday that Aubameyang was only permitted to play for Chelsea and Barcelona owing to FIFA regulations.
100% certain.”I’ve heard Barça would adore the thought of bringing Auba back… but only if the transfer is completely free, comes with new contract terms, and only if Memphis Depay departs (Atléti want him).
