Yesterday’s match was disappointing as the h teams considered the favorites messed up even the ones expected to produce goals couldn’t. Anyway. that’s football as it was full of uncertainties. In the opening match of the Champions League group stages, Borussia Dortmund defeated Copenhagen at home, but they were soundly defeated 3-0 by RB Leipzig German Bundesliga. Edin Terzi will be anticipating an improvement, but in order to be successful at the Etihad, they will need to maintain their composure. This match has the making of over 2.5 goals while the host will secure another comfortable victory at the end.
3. Chelsea vs Salzburg
Last week in Crotia, Chelsea suffered a 1-0 disappointing loss to Dinamo Zagreb, which made Thomas Tuchel to loose his job. After Saturday’s West London Derby was postponed due to the passing of Queen Elizabeth, Graham Potter was hired to take over as Tuchel’s replacement, and today will be his first game in command.
Salzburg is unbeaten in seven games and has won six despite having a long list of injuries. The only hiccup in that streak was last week’s 1-1 draw with AC Milan.
The Chelsea team will want to make a good first impression on their new coach, and they should succeed on tonight at Stamford Bridge. A comfortable home win is my pick.
