Bet of the day.
Malmo FF vs Halmstad Predictions
This match will be played in Sweden and the League is Allsvenskan.
Match Facts.
- Malmo have scored at least 2 goals per match at home this season, with 80% of their home games producing over 2.5 goals.
- They have also scored at least three goals in 6 of their previous 8 games at home.
- The last 6 meetings between the two teams have ended in under 4.5 goals.
My Reason for choosing this game.
Malmo aims to reclaim their lead at the table.
Following a 3-1 victory over Varnamo, Malmo will attempt to reclaim first place when they face Halmstad in a highly anticipated Allsvenskan match.
The Blues are aiming for their eighth home win of the season, and I am certain that they will maintain their offensive style of play.
For the home side, keep an eye on the experienced striker Isaac Kiese Thelin, who scored a brace in the last league match, while defender Busanello is suspended.
The Visitor’s misery will continue against Malmo.
Halmstad, on the other hand, had lost their previous three league games, and with all sorts of troubles at the back in a 5-0 loss to Varberg last week.
Their head coach Magnus Haglund is facing a lot of pressure at the moment and knowing how attacking minded Malmo are, will try to play defensively and hope on counter attack.
Malte Pahlsson is largely likely to replace Malkolm Nilsson at the striking position after the 30-year-old failed to impress in the humiliating loss to Varberg.
Conclusion.
Malmo are expected to give their all now that they have returned home. This season, they have scored more than two goals at home, with at least three in six of their last eight home league games.
With Halmstad coming off a huge defeat and the visitors facing some criticism, they will play cautiously in order to frustrate the home team, but Malmo will be too strong for them.
Prediction.
A combination of Malmo to win and under 4.5 goals @1.52 is my first choice of bet since both teams have not produced more than four goals in their previous encounters.
However, I will choose a combination of Malmo win and over 2.5 goals @1.72 as my value bet and second choice with a possible score of 3 – 0 or 3-1 since Malmo are attacking minded team.
