1. Algeria will be desperate for a win to qualify for the Round of 16

As AFCON defending champions, Algeria felt disappointed when they drew against Sierra Leone despite dominating the game and winning their previous matches. They will want to make amends of the chances they missed in that match and will have no choice but to win Equatorial Guinea today or risk parking out of the tournament. They are one of the best African teams with more quality players than Equatorial Guinea.
Equatorial Guinea lost their first match against Ivory Coast and will come out to play offensive football style to make amends as well which will give Algerians room to score and win as part of my predictions.

2. AS Roma are very hopeful of getting back to winning ways against Cagliari

Roma appeared to have lost form recently due to the fact that they lost their last two matches. But this is tricky because they lost against two of the Italian best teams (Juventus and AC Milan). Cagliari Calcio are relegation strugglers and have won two straight matches. This will give them confidence heading into this match but AS Roma will be too much for them as they seek to get back to winning ways.

3. Monaco is set to pick another 3 points against Clermont Foot

Monaco will move from 7th all the way to 4th position should they win this match. They have not lost at home in their last 6 matches and have beaten Clermont Foot in their last 3 meetings in all competitions. Monaco will certainly win this match.

4. PSV looking forward to thrashing Groningen in order to retain their top spot

PSV overtook Ajax as the league leader and are topping the table with one point advantage over Ajax. They may lose that position if they drop a point against Groningen which they wouldn’t want to. PSV are in hot form as they have won 5 of their last 6 matches and have also won Groningen in all their last 6 meetings. Anything order than a win for PSV will be a surprise to me.

5. Porto to extend their victory to 7th in a row against Belenenses

Porto have an excellent form of 6 wins in a row and will want to extend it to 7th against a struggling Belenenses. They have beaten Belenenses in 4 of their last 6 matches and will thrash them again to retain their top spot position at the league table. Moreover, Belenenses have lost 5 of their last 6 matches and so, can’t take anything from this particular encounter.
