Atalanta keeps on flying high as they face Spezia

Atalanta keeps on flying high as they face Spezia.

Following a string of goal-filled games for La Dea in recent weeks, Atalanta made headlines on Sunday by thrashing Salernitana 8-2 in Serie A.

This kept La Dea (Atalanta) within striking distance of the top four.

Atalanta will be hosting an energetic Spezia team on Thursday in the Coppa Italia, where they have twice finished as runners-up under Gian Piero Gasperini.

Earlier this month, they drew 2-2 with Spezia.

Atalanta have picked up a good form

Since securing a last-second equalizer at Spezia in early January, Atalanta has won their last two games, shaking off a run of bad luck that caused them to fall outside the top four.

Although Gasperini’s team had a great defensive record to start the season, they have allowed 12 goals in their previous six games despite scoring 16 goals themselves.

More of the same may be anticipated today after each of La Dea’s last six games have included over 2.5 goals and goals from both clubs.

Spezia are in a decent form at the moment

Luca Gotti’s team from Spezia, meanwhile, moved nine points clear of the relegation zone with their impressive 1-0 victory against Torino last time out to extend their unbeaten streak to five Serie A games.

The Aquilotti put in a strong performance before blowing a 2-0 lead against Atalanta two weeks ago, but they have never defeated La Dea, who have scored 13 goals in their last four encounters.

In contrast, four of Spezia’s past seven games have had more than 2.5 goals, and they might find it difficult to hold Atalanta, especially if Gotti makes adjustments.

Conclusion

Atalanta appears to be back to their best in front of goals, thus it makes sense to back them to win a game with over 2.5 goals against Spezia, who have never avoided defeat in Bergamo (Atalanta’s home).

Prediction

Atalanta to win is my pick. They have scored 19 goals in nine home Serie A games this season so La Dia to win and over 2.5 goals is good.

Furthermore, making a 3-1 victory for Gasperini’s club appear to be a possible correct score prediction.

My other Predictions are

🇪🇸 Spain » Copa del Rey
Villarreal vs Real Madrid
Pick: GG or Over 2.5
🇹🇷 Turkey » Turkish Cup
Fenerbahce vs Rizespor
1 and Over 1.5
🏆 Asia » Gulf Cup of Nations
Iraq vs Oman
PIck: Under 3.5
🇹🇳 TUNISIA: Ligue Professionnelle 1
Monastir vs Olympique Beja
Pick: 1
You can pick Monastir to win either half which is less risky
