My Predictions.
My sure bet is a straight win for PSG @1.37 odd while my value bet is a combination of PSG win and over 2.5 goals @1.76 odd.
Why I chose this match.
Round 8 of the current Ligue 1 season will start today with the football match between PSG and Strasbourg.
The home team are the clear favorites to defeat Strasbourg at their Parc des Princes stadium as they want to get back to winning ways after loosing two points in their 1-1 draw with Lille before the international break.
However, Desire Doue should bounce back in time to play against Strasbourg, which is one of the reasons I am backing the home team.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has recovered from his injury, which is an excellent news for PSG, but Ousmane Dembele is still out with injury.
On the other hand, Strasbourg was very impressive to thrash Angers 5-0 last two weeks in their home soil before the international break. This will give them huge motivation as they make their trip to Parc des Princes stadium for this match.
As a matter of fact, they have won 4 of their last 5 games across all competitions which will give them more confidence for this encounter. However, considering their poor record at PSG’s home, I don’t think they will be able to cause any problem for PSG.
Strasbourg’s defender Eduard Sobol will not be available as he received a red card against Olympique Marseille.
It should be noted that PSG have won all six of their past encounters with Strasbourg in this venue and I am backing them to win again especially now that they need to get back to winning ways after drawing their last match.
