My Predictions.
My sure bet is a straight win for Portugal @1.38 odd while my value odd tip is a combination of Portugal to win and over 1.5 goals to come on board @1.67 odd.
Why I chose this match.
Portugal will aim to bounce back from a shocking 2-0 loss to Georgia when they play against Slovenia tonight in this round of 16.
The Portuguese team did not perform well in their last group match. Perhaps , they underestimated Georgia and became complacent in the pitch.
However, their head coach, Roberto Martinez rested some key players in that match. Tonight , they all will all be brought back to the starting lineup,
Portugal’s team news: Rafael Leao has returned from suspension.
Slovenia, on the other hand, did very well to force a draw against a star-studded England team in order to advance to the round of 16 but they will face a formidable opponent in CR7 and his team mates.
Slovenia’s team news: Erik Janza, a defender, has received too many yellow cards and has been suspended from this match.
Slovenia caused an upset by beating Portugal 2-0 in a pre-season friendly match earlier this year. Tonight, Roberto Martinez will send his strongest team against them this time around.
