EPL update: Merson predicts Arsenal vs Man City as Gunners drop points to Brentford
Having known this, let’s dive into today’s predictions.
Football and Betting Tips for Today.
1. Leeds vs Manchester Utd
While Leeds are winless against the top eight, they have four straight victories over them on the road.
However, the hosts score 1.5 goals per game on average at home, therefore supporting them to score.
Manchester United will come for revenge for the upset caused by Leeds United at Old Trafford five days ago but they usually concede goals these days.
I think Leeds United should be able to score in front of their supporters and I am not 100% sure about Manchester United’s winning this match so I will go for a mixed chance of goals.
Prediction: Both teams to score or over 2.5 goals (Mixed chance)
2. Manchester City vs Aston Villa
With 12 victories in a row over Aston Villa at home, City has the best home record in the league this season with nine victories out of 11.
Aston Villa has had trouble traveling this season, but under Emery, they have scored in every league game.
Guardiola has won 73.5% of his games so far as he enters his 250th Premier League match.
Prediction: Manchester City win and over 2.5 goals.
3. Lille vs Strasbourg
When Lille plays Strasbourg, a team that has a history of conceding goals, they should comfortably win Strasbourg as they are in strong home form.
The hosts should have plenty of opportunities given that the visitors have conceded two or more goals in six of their last seven outings.
Prediction: Lille will win.
4. Reims vs Troyes
Reims suffered its first defeat under manager Will Still in the middle of the week, but when they play Troyes today, they will have the ideal opportunity to recover from that loss.
In their last six games, the visitors have lost five of them, all by two goals or more.
Prediction: Reims win.
5. Standard Liege vs Kortrijk
This match can be found in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League.
In 92% of Kortrijk’s away games this season, they have been able to score goals, while both teams have scored in 75% of their away visits.
However, they have lost three straight matches and four out of their last five meetings with teams in the top half, losing 2-1 each time.
We were tempted to go for both teams’ scoring options which is a possible outcome but we prefer to stake on the home team to win.
Prediction: Standard Liege win
6. Zulte Waregem vs Oostende
Still in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League division, Since returning to action, Oostende has lost seven of their last eight games while allowing at least two goals in each contest.
They take on a Zulte team that has suffered three straight losses; in their previous five games, the hosts have seen BTTS four times.
Prediction: Both teams to score or over 2.5 goals (Mixed chance)
7. Napoli vs Cremonese
Napoli destroyed Cremonese 4-1 earlier this season, scoring 28 goals and winning nine of their 10 home league games while only conceding eight.
In six of their victories this season, the hosts have won by a margin of three or more.
Prediction: Napoli win and over 2.5 goals
8. Juventus vs Fiorentina
Juventus has won eight of their last 11 games in all competitions, including five of their last six at home.
Eight out of Fiorentina’s last nine visits to the Bianconeri have ended in defeat, and Vincenzo Italiano’s team’s recent league record of losing three and picking up only one win may not change.
Prediction: Juventus will win
9. FC Twente vs FC Volendam.
Due to Twente’s eight victories in their first 10 games this season in the Netherlands’ Eredivisie, they have proved to have the best home record in the Eredivisie.
They face a Volendam team that has lost half of its away games, but the visitors have had BTTS in four of their previous five games and have scored an average of one goal per game while allowing 2.2 average goals.
However, staking on the home team to win and over 2.5 goals is preferable for us.
Prediction: FC Twente win and over 2.5 goals.
10. Ajax vs Waalwijk
With back-to-back victories, Ajax extended their unbeaten streak to eight games and closed the gap on Eredivisie leaders Feyenoord to just three points.
With 10 goals, Brian Brobbey is the team’s leading scorer. He had gone seven games without scoring until his brace against Cambuur in his previous outing.
It’s time for Ajax to start bashing in the goals in front of their massive supporters especially now that they have gone back to winning ways.
Prediction: Ajax to win both halves
