Expert Tips for 29th December, 2021

Today being 29th December 2021, I tipped Manchester City, Chelsea, Sporting Lisbon and others to keep on winning despite the Omicron virus outbreak. So many matches are being postponed as a result of this ugly experience. But nevertheless, some teams are cleared to continue their matches and I have already made my prediction in the table below.

1. Chelsea set to win Brighton

Chelsea will keep pushing for the Premier league’s top spot despite falling behind Manchester City by 8 points. They were victorious against Aston Villa on boxing day but they paid the price with the injury of Thiago Silva and N’Golo Kante. However, Lukaku may start again from the bench because the head coach Thomas Tuchel is being very cautious about using him as he just came back from injury. Brighton got their first win since September against Brentford on boxing day and may want to cause an upset here against Chelsea. The blues on the other hand are undefeated in their last 6 matches. They came out from a moral-boosting victory against Aston Villa and will push for another win tonight.

2. Manchester city to thrash Brentford

Manchester City looks highly unstoppable at the moment and are in a nine-match winning streak in the Premier League. They are at the first position with 6 points clear from the second-placed Liverpool. Furthermore, they will want to keep distancing themselves from Liverpool by defeating a struggling Brentford away from home. Brentford were unlucky to lose to Brighton despite dominating the match and pushing for goals. However, they perform better on home soil but may not get any point from this football match as Manchester City will be too much for them. Over 2.5 goals could be scored in this match as both teams will be pushing for a win.

3. Blackburn to have a close win against Barnsley

Blackburn are very hot right now and they are on a five-match winning streak. They are also pushing for the 1st position at the championship table and set to demolish any team that comes their way. Barnsley on the hand are struggling as they are winless in their last seven matches. As a matter of fact, they have lost 4 matches in the process. The Yorkshire side are in very poor running form as they have claimed only 6 points from a possible 45 points. For the football predictions, we think Blackburn looks unstoppable and the 6th win for them is on the card.

4. Sporting Lisbon to have a comfortable win against Portimonense SC.

Sporting Lisbon have a perfect head-to-head record against Portimonense SC. They have beaten Portimonense in all their last 6 meetings with five of those winnings ending in a handicap of -1. They are also pushing for the 1st position in Portuguese Primeira Liga and winning this match will earn them the same point as that Porto who are occupying the first position. Amazingly, they are on ten matches winning streak and are set to thrash Portimonense SC again. Portimonense are not doing bad either as they have won 3 of their last 4 away matches. Moreover, Boavista are in very poor form and have won their first match since August last week against Moreirense despite going down to 10 men. Furthermore, they also thrashed Braga 5-1 in the league cup and this victory could boost their confidence heading into this match.
