Real Madrid, Atalanta and PSV are in excellent form now, and the trio are targeting their various League titles. As we all know, all the games that are supposed to take place today in Britsh countries have been postponed in honor of the death of Queen Elizabeth the 2nd so we might see those matches next week.
Back to the main topic, I will write a preview on just Real Madrid and make a quick summary of other football predictions for today.
Match Previews
1. Real Madrid vs Mallorca
Real Madrid has started this season much like they concluded the previous one: by essentially steamrolling everyone in their path, winning six of their first seven games.
Although Carlo Ancelotti’s team has scored 16 goals in twelve games, their defense may present some issues since they have yet to record a clean sheet in a La Liga shutout.
Karim Benzema was injured in the Champion League match last week against Celtic but the coach has said that the injury is not severe so he is doubtful of participating here. Nacho Fernandez is now available after recuperating from injury.
Mallorca made a decent start to the season
With a win and two draws from their first four games, Mallorca has had a better season than most anticipated. Javier Aguirre, the new manager, has lost five games in his first 13 matches in charge, and his away record over a 13-month span is terrible, with just three wins from 20 games.
They also have trouble playing Real on the road; they lost 6-1 to them here last year, one of six straight losses to Los Blancos, three of which featured at least three goals. Dominik Greif injured his hip and so will not be available for Mallorca while Angel Rodriguez is uncertain as he is still in the recovery room.
Real Madrid set to ave an easy win against Mallorca.
I am tempted to pick the home team to win with over 2.5 goals but considering the fact that Benzema may not play, I will choose the clean sheet instead. Even without Benzema who is uncertain, I still think
Real Madrid will win this game and keep a clean sheet over the course of the entire 90 minutes, and I predict that the final score will be 2-0 in favor of the home team.
