Fenerbahçe are very hot right now as they have won their last 3 matches with ease. They even defeated tonight’s opponent, Austria Wien, in the reverse fixture of this match in Austria.

Their guest, on the other hand, has been incosistent so far. They have managed to win only 2 matches out of their last 6 matches. I don’t see them taking anything from this match. All hope is not lost for the home team as they will put in the energy to equalize that defeat, especially in this era where FIFA has canceled the head-to-head meeting advantage.

Twente have been in excellent form as they have won all their last five matches before visiting Fiorentina in Italy last weekend. They will capitalize on their decent performance and hope to turn things around for themselves. On the other hand, Fiorentina are aware that the game between them and their hosts is still open and so will still deploy their best squad to Holland.

After that loss, Basel later went on to thrash FC Allschwil 5-0 in their Swiss cup competition. However, that’s a lowly-rated team, but nevertheless, this win will still give them the much-needed motivation to revenge their loss to CSKA Sofia in St. Jakob-Park stadium, Switzerland. Some of their key players who were absent during their first leg meeting due to injury have returned to the team. I am tipping Basel to win.

Viborg have lost their last two matches. One came from West Ham in the first leg, and the other came from Randers in the Danish Superliga.
