My Predictions.
My sure bet is a straight win for Arsenal @1.51 while my value bet is a combination of Arsenal win and over 1.5 goals @1.87 odd.
Why I chose this match.
This is a London derby between Arsenal and Fulham and it will have a significant impact for both teams. We forecast a narrow victory for the home team because Arsenal are keen to remain in the title battle against Manchester City.
The Gunners enter this match fresh off a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Newcastle and are still in a tight Premier league title chase. While they have been doing well at home, Mikel Arteta’s team have been strong defensively and they have mantained clean sheets in 50% of their previous ten games.
One of Arsenal’s key players, Bukayo Saka is fully back to increase their attacking threat in an attempt to secure this important victory.
Fulham, on the other are not doing either as they have lost just 2 of their last 8 Premier league games so they won’t be intimidated going into the local derby. Their away form indicates they can contend well against Arsenal.
Furthermore, their defensive record is especially outstanding, as they have conceded just 0.80 goals per game in average. Fulham will be motivated by the victories they earned in half of their recent games as they pursue European qualification.
Alex Iwobi is out of the squad due to a hamstring injury while Issa Diop had a knock so both players will be unavailable for Fulham in today’s encounter.
Home Win is my primary betting recommendation for this London derby, coupled with over 1.5 goals (both teams are strong at the back) and Bukayo Saka to Score or Assist, given Arsenal’s greater H2H dominance and must-win situation.
