Why I chose this match.
Arsenal will be looking to build on their 2-0 motivational victory against PSG in their last Champions league match at this same venue when they host Southampton who are struggling at the moment.
With a victory over Southampton, the Gunners might surpass Pep Guardiola’s team in the Premier League standings as they look to end Man City’s dominance in the Premier league.
Their summer signing, Mikel Merino is fit again after being substituted during the Champions League match, and he is vying for a starting spot.
Players like Oleksandr Zinchenko, Martin Odeegaard, and Takehiro Tomiyasu will not be available due to injuries.
The Saints (Southampton), on the other hand, are not expected to cause any upset against The Gunners at Emirates Stadium after they had numerous defensive issues in their 3-1 loss to Bournemouth.
